Make-A-Bot GO Program

March 15, 2016 By Salmon Library Staff Leave a Comment

Can You Make Edison Go?
A first at Salmon Public Library, we can now proudly introduce the Make-It-Series. After whisking away to Boise, we bring back word of STEM like programming into our library! We so very excited and hope you participate.

The first program we’re bringing is Make-A-Bot-Go! It’s as easy as it sounds. Can you make the Edison Robot we were given mobile? We are going to hold this session in the new library meeting room on March 23rd at 5:00pm. It is geared toward High Schoolers but ALL are welcome. We’d love to see parents and their children involved in this program. There will be some base level computer programming involved, but all will be discussed. It’s about having fun, designing, letting your imagination take you to places you haven’t been in awhile. Depending on the number of attendee’s we might be working in teams up to four so that we may all get a hands on experience with one of our four robots. Because of the limited resources we’ll be capping Make-A-Bot-Go at 32persons. We have the great help of Skyler Olsen from the High School assisting us in facilitating the program. We’re expecting the session to last about 1.5hrs, but you’re welcome to leave at any point as the Edison robots will be available for you check out after we introduce them to our Patrons with this program.
