NEW CHALLENGE: How Tall, How Long?

May 2, 2016 By Salmon Library Staff Leave a Comment

How Tall? How Long?
Infrastructure. it’s something we don’t commonly think about but provides a world of convenience when done right. Now’s your opportunity to see the challenges and struggles of our engineers, workers, and planners getting to design, build, and TEST your very own bridge. In the Maker Challenge area located by the kids section is a box of bricks. We want you to design a bridge that can hold up with the best of them, Golden Gate, Brooklyn, etc and to do that it will need to support weight. After you’re finished your design measure your bridges specifications. How tall is it? How Long is it? How much weight can it support? Can you improve? Only you will know if you take our bridge building challenge in the Salmon Public Library Maker Space.
