Got Summer Plans? We Got You Covered
Do you want to keep your kids busy this summer? How about busy and prepared for the future at the same time. Well now you can. Khan Academy is partnering with Albertson’s Family to present to you a Summer Of Code. At first this might not sound too appealing, but wait, it’s an opportunity that you shouldn’t overlook. What it is? A fun activity tutorial based walkthrough to help your little one engage in the future of computer coding. Based around earning “Energy Points” and “Badges” it simplifies the learning and heightens their experience. It’s a six week commitment to participate in a few hours a week either at the library or in the home. They will be encouraged from their coach they sign up under as well as being there to answer any of their questions. Did I mention it’s free? A great way to not allow that memory drop that inevitably happens over the summer and give them an activity that may just very well be the catalyst to a future they didn’t know existed.
There will still be plenty of time to play in the sun, river, and generally outdoors, but this is one skill set that is too hard to pass up. If they like video games, this is the framework to being able to create every child’s dream game. Get them in, get them signed up, get them coding! Visit Summer Of Code HERE for more resources and info. Call us at (208)756-2311 to sign your child up today!
