Go, Slow, Whoa
While the grass was wet and the weather a bit colder of late, it didn’t stop the parents from bringing their youngest for another edition of Eat, Play, Grow. Another great turnout of over 20+ kids and 11 more parents. This week Marii of Salmon Valley Local Foods, dove into “Go, Slow, Whoa” foods with fun activities that got even the youngest moving, while engaging their brains having to determine which foods are what. As always there was tasting involved and thanks to Swift River Farms for providing some of the garlic scapes to which provided an interesting spice to the palettes of the test tasters. The families all brought home The Very Hungry Caterpillar courtesy of the Idaho Commission of Library grant we received as well as taking home an arts & crafts project to be completed based on today’s lesson.
