NEW PROGRAM: TILT “RC Wireless & Transmitters”

July 25, 2016 By Salmon Library Staff Leave a Comment

Let's Build Something
We are ready to kick off an ongoing series of educational, fun, hands-on, activity based open lab times run by a volunteer who’s passion for such topics truly shines through. Thanks to Christian we’re able to provide the necessary room support he needs to be able to engage the community of Salmon. Now all we need is you, the participants. Don’t worry if you don’t feel it’s something you align with, you’re too old, we are accepting of anyone who wants to join.

Be a mentor for a youth, help support a giving back to the community by sharing in Christian’s enthusiasm for a world in which we tinker and construct.

The first session will take place right after the SPLAT (Special Projects Library Action Team) get done showing off all their cool equipment they brought, showcasing technology a lot of libraries are offering their patrons and explain the benefits of engaging in a makerspace culture. Right from there you can hop on over to the TILT (Technical Immersion for Lemhi Tutors) and see what cool things their cooking up.

RC Wireless & Transmitters will be the focus of this week’s activity. From planes to drones, to anything that emits a signal, we’ll hit it all. We may even have someone from the Fly Over Club from Salmon join us to take part in participating in the fun.

We hope you come and join the fun, the more participants, the more ideas, the more creation, the greater the collaboration.
