NEW CHALLENGE: Veggie Power!

August 31, 2016 By Salmon Library Staff Leave a Comment

NEW CHALLENGE: Veggie Power
Ever realize that your vegetables and fruits hold more power then powering our bodies? That they can provide a source of electricity like batteries? Well it’s time to test that theory out in the MakerSpace located near the children’s section. Set up are a series of fruits and vegetables. Your task, should you want to engage yourself in some science is to insert the provided electrodes. Turn on the multimeter and record the different voltages of each provided vegetable. Would it be enough power to light a light bulb? Make a wheels rotate on a fruit car? Find out which produce the best power and why. Looking forward to seeing you in this week’s makerspace challenge!
