I just finished my first book called “The Woman in Cabin 10” by Ruth Ware for the Salmon Bookfolks Challenge. It was a great book to kick the challenge off with. And I was able to check “Sea Story” off my list. If you’re looking for a psychological thriller set on the high seas this may be the book for you. Main character and narrator is Lo Blacklock, writer for an upscale travel magazine has the opportunity to go on a once in a lifetime luxury cruise. The first night aboard the ship Lo believes she is the witness to a murder, unfortunately she is not taken seriously because of her history of anxiety and depression. There is a whole lot of gas lighting that goes on which makes the story that much more intriguing. Is Lo having a nervous breakdown? She truly seems to be the only one who heard or saw anything. “The Woman in Cabin 10” is a page turner so don’t start it at bedtime.
Until next time, read often, read with pleasure, and share your story with us!
