LIBRARY UPDATE: “Young Adult Hidden No Longer”

June 9, 2017 By Salmon Library Staff Leave a Comment

Subtle Changes That are Not Seen
Sometimes we change, we move, we shuffle different things around the library hoping it just “catches” on without informing our wonderful patrons. However this last change didn’t seem to proliferate as we had hoped. Therefore a nice table display was laid out to inform you that we do indeed now have a “Young Adult” section. These books are often 9-12 reading levels with content that isn’t as suitable for the younger guys. However the themes can often be very well liked by adults, thus making them Young Adult Crossover books.

This genre of books is a hot ticket item in a lot of libraries and we’d love to be able to extend our small collection. If you like them, want more of them, let us know! We need your feedback for things like our Graphic Novel collection we’re trying to grow as well as our Young Adult Books. If we don’t hear from you we assume that you’re not interested and pull back the reigns on growing that area of our library.

So next time your in and you grab a book, let the staff or director know, you like what you’re reading!
