LIBRARY PROGRAM: “PLAN – Pick a Solution”

So far we’re two weeks into our Design Thinking class to which we didn’t know the outcome when we started. We’ve managed to work our way through ASK [Week 1] and IMAGINE [Week 2] and this next Monday July 24th from 11am-12pm we’ll tackle PLAN. Each week we engage the students with small activities to help them understand each part of the Design Process. Then at the end of the class they apply this newfound skill to a re world issue. The community project they identified at the end of week 1 was wanting a Community Slide for the Pool! Last week they came up with possible solutions to attack this problem and by Week 3 we’ll develop a plan to enact to try and solve this problem.

The students have impressed me every step of the way and we look forward to engaging them further during this process. So join us for Week 3 when we explore the [PLAN] phase of this engaging process.
