LIBRARY UPDATE: “Become the Mystery!”

September 27, 2017 By Salmon Library Staff Leave a Comment

Mini Detectives Abound
Often we’re surrounded by things we don’t see. Every day youth and adults come to the library and check out Mystery novels that include some detective sleuthing around for clues. But what is this science? How does it all work.. Well during last week’s Friday Fablab we explored this topic and said, instead of reading a mystery, let’s solve one. We helped our youth explore finger printing and the science of forensics. Engaged, enthusiastic, it was an interesting program that taught kids to look a little bit closer and what’s behind an identity.

Come join us each week for Friday Fablab where we explore, discover, and learn, all while being hands on and having fun. We’re really putting a shout out to get more youth ages 11-15 to be able to explore deeper educational lessons behind some of the wonderful program we’re producing! Every Friday from 1:00pm – 2:30pm. See you there!
