Mini Makers
On Friday Oct 13th we saw Salmon Public Library’s meeting room come to life. Normally a sterile environment awaiting public meetings, thrust itself into organized chaos. Cardboard, duct tape, Make Do Screws, fabric and a whole lot of creative transformed this into a mobile makerspace. Twenty one youth showed up to invent, create, and design the perfect Halloween costume out of cardboard. It was great to see kids, learning, playing, having fun, all while problem solving on their day off from school. Can’t wait to see how they improve upon their designs over the week and show them off next week during our Halloween Costume awards ceremony. Here are some highlights from the day:
