LIBRARY UPDATE: “Having Wonder, Curiosity, Discovery, is a HEAD START!”

Recently we sent out Jesse Hunt one of our Americorps VISTA members who’s helping build capacity with the Salmon Public Library’s Making Programs to Head Start right here in Salmon, Idaho. He was there to help facilitate for the littlest of learners with a Fall Themed STEM program. Even asking basic questions is the start to a life of inquiry. When looking at different squash we can ask, How big is it? Why are some different colors? What’s inside? There are many ways to allow self discovery and help facilitate it, even with the smallest of knowledge. Let’s encourage curiosity because it often leads to innovation. So happy Salmon Public Library could be part of this partnership and we look forward to continue to develop these ideas and more in the future.
