LIBRARY UPDATE: “Fabulous Fab Slammers!”

Upon receiving the grant from Idaho STEM Action Center for FabSlam and our new shiny 3D printer, we finally got our Team underway designing on Friday. Quick to learn the in’s and out’s of 3D modeling after a great playdough team building exercise we gave them their first design challenge to create cookie cutters. Each prototyped with pen and paper what they wanted it to look like then set off to design in on CookieCaster.

We were very excited to see all their designs come to life and them walk away from the class with their very first design in hand. We look forward to next week when they can take those skills to the next level, designing a remix!
