Our FabSlam team was back in action this Friday after a nice break for the holidays. Having settled on a topic, "4 Wheelers" under the theme of transportation it was information gathering time. Over the break they took home survey's they created, used empathy to interview, and brought back keen observations. But no Design Thinking Process would be complete without a little field work!
We headed to a "4 Wheeler" dealership to get more info on what we were up against. George was a fantastic host, sharing stories, answering their questions, and pointing out some finer details we might not have otherwise known.
It was back to the lab to use our favorite breakout tool, the "Post-it" note. Colored in "I heard", "I Noticed", or "I gathered" for the Interview, Observation, Survey portion, we assembled our data to look for patterns. Defining four separate issues, we set off to "sketch" some solutions.
Those solutions saw rapid prototyping happen with easily accessible consumables in order to quickly assess our models. 1st iteration is always an amazing benchmark. Now, to tackle next week, how do we fail forward! 🙂
