January 23, 2018 By Salmon Library Staff Leave a Comment

The Raptors of East Central Idaho

Tim Craig is a retired Wildlife Biologist. During his career he worked for many state, federal and private organizations in Alaska and the western US. He was a long-time resident of Lemhi County.

He presents a FREE event on February 8th at 6:30PM in the large meeting room at Salmon Public Library:

“The Raptors of East Central Idaho”

Twenty-seven species of raptors nest in East Central Idaho and two others are transient migrants. These include two of North American’s largest raptors, the Golden and Bald Eagle, and two of the smallest, the Sharp-shined Hawk and the American Kestrel. Seventeen of these raptors are diurnal. Come and learn which inhabit our area, how to identify them and tidbits about their basic biology
