LIBRARY PROGRAM: Let’s Talk About It! – The Sky Fisherman

Let’s Talk About It – Book discussion series! This year’s theme is Living in the Modern Rural West. The third and final discussion for this series will happen on Thursday March 8th at 7pm. Scholar Leslie Leek will be here to talk about “The Sky Fisherman” by Craig Lesley. This book is a boy’s coming of age story, set in a northwest river town. It is full of drama, river and fishing stories, rural humor, and American Indian lore. Our scholar Leslie is retired from Idaho State University, and is the author of two collections of short stories. She has published stories and essays in several state anthologies and regional literary magazines, is a past recipient of a Literature Fellowship from the Idaho Arts Commission, and provides writing workshops and readings in rural Idaho communities.
