Finalizing our prototypes
Only two more sessions to go! This past week Switch‘s partnership with Fern Waters Public Charter really started to take shape. We started with a fun exercise of learning about 3D modeling with Play-Doh and listening. Try model what object your partner is holding only using “shapes” & “measurements”.
This led us to flushing out our prototypes even further. The outdoor team drilled a few holes, propped up their net design, & tested it by hurling a variety of objects at it. The indoor library space team continued to work on their cardboard model of the room with new shelving and began to take it a step further by translating these designs into an architecture program online. The hope will be to give a virtual tour to potential investors of this project to experience the new space for themselves.
We are beginning to know what success looks like when you have a student stay longer than the allotted class time to continue to work on their project! (score!)
Next sessions we’ll work on our project pitch as well as creating a video to raise money to take our prototypes to reality!
