Recently Salmon Public Library got to visit the future. The future of Libraries that is. Idaho Commission for Libraries – ICfL hosted an amazing two day #futurescamp event at The College of Idaho.
Learned so much about the importance of physical space from Rolf Hapel, Professor of Practice, Information School at University of Washington, Seattle. The need to ask simple questions about your library from smart, witty, Marcellus Turner, director at The Seattle Public Library .What did we do? Did we do it well? Was anyone impacted by what we did?
Connected with old colleagues and made a few new ones! The future looks bright for Idaho Libraries!
Special shouts out to Whittenberger Planetarium for one of the most memorable experiences! And Dr. Picklestein for reminding us to channel our inner child.
And Idaho STEM Action Center for supporting events like these and giving the space needed to creatively plan for the future.
