LIBRARY UPDATE: “Summer Reading – Space 2050”

August 9, 2019 By Salmon Library Staff Leave a Comment

Summer Reading

On Wednesday we saw our final Summer Reading Program come to an end. Big kids built the moon bases of the future, designed to withstand the extreme temperatures and lack of atmosphere on the moon. We also talked about different ways to store food and water, make power and generally make astronauts comfortable in their moon habitat.

Our littles played with glittery space dough – several families requested the recipe so here it is (we omitted the glycerin):

Thank you all who came out and supported these amazing programs. It was a blast to get to explore space with you. We’re already looking forward to next year’s theme!
