Behind the scenes with Ghosts of Gilmore. In anticipation of this project, each week our hope is shed more light on the characters in the story building more drama for the final tour. This week we’re introducing you to George Mayfield. (This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places and incidents either are products of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously. George Mayfield
Meet George Mayfield (played by Christian Slavin).
George is a businessman/entrepreneur who moved from Pittsburgh to Salmon, ID in hopes of taking advantage of a new growing market in the booming mining business. He’s the manager of his own mining outfitting store with hopes of going corporate with the of United Idaho Mining Co. He lives most days in Salmon, but commutes to Gilmore to stay in touch with the people. Recently he has fallen for a local nurse in the area, Ms. Virginia Farnsworth, who he’s constantly trying to court. With his uptick in business success and the newfound crush, George is feeling high on life and soon ready to extend his good fortunes to his younger brother William, hoping to sponsor his trip out West.
