What an amazing first few opening weekends of “Ghosts of Gilmore”. We’ve had 50 people come out so far and try the Virtual Reality experience which takes you on an interactive journey through the old townsite, guided by a fictional narrative. We are very fortunate to have the three VR headsets on loan from the Idaho Commission for Libraries, but it’s time for us to send them back. Therefore this weekend will be the last opportunity you have to experience the VR portion of the Ghosts of Gilmore.
Friday December 13th – 10am – 1pm
Saturday, December 14th – 10am – 1pm
Alas, if you haven’t gotten a chance to go to the Smithsonian Exhibit “Crossroads” at the Lemhi County Museum yet, and can’t make it down this weekend, we’re putting together an event after the holidays for you to see the tour as played through by one of us. It will be less immersive, but you’ll get the back story of the project, get to witness the story, and see a little behind the scenes. Date & Time are TBD.
Pictures below are of the great snowblockade of 1916 which shut down the G&P railroad.
