This makes my heart happy. As a former employee in the world of Film, it pleases me to be able to share this gift with our youthy. Many of them have never been exposed to real production, both in terms of professional equipment and experience. THIS was that. Filming for both Switch’s latest installment of the Power Hour of STEM in partnership with Pioneer Elementary 5th Grade as well as tying into an upcoming award opportunity with #infymakers, students got the chance to film their invention, interview, be a camera operator and run sound (see under the table). It’s a joy to hear them WANT more out of learning. “Can I try and be the sound person?” or “can I see what it looks like?”. This is an engaged learner. This is why we do what we do and couldn’t be happier to do it and proud of their enthusiasm to participate. Looking forward to seeing the final product.
