LIBRARY UPDATE: “Curbside Pickup”

May 3, 2020 By Salmon Library Staff 2 Comments

Book Locker
Curbside pickup at the Salmon Public Library is BACK in your life!! How does it work?? You can search our catalog of books online at salmonlibrary.org After copying down which books you want either send a list to SalmonLibrary1@gmail.com or call the library at 208-756-2311. We’ll have staff member available to take your book requests M10-2, T12-2, W10-2, Th4-7 should you want to talk to a person instead of leaving a voicemail, which also works! Don’t know the books you want? Give us a subject or authors you like and we’ll do our best to meet your needs. Need kids books but don’t know what to read?  Let’s us know their ages and general likes and we’ll pull books for them too. Upon receiving your request we’ll contact you either via email or phone for your book pickup instructions. Each pickup will be held in an individual drawer of the below book locker at the side entrance. Swing by and punch in the code given to you, use the key to unlock your drawer, return key and lock it! Simple as that! Happy reading!!
Please stay tuned for more updates as we figure out how safely open the library for in house patronage use. For the moment please continue to enjoy our E-Services such as Overdrive, RB Digital, Cloud Library, Tumblebooks, as well as Virtual Pre-School reading hour and digital STEM challenges from Spark. Looking forward to getting you your next great read!

Have been having trouble with the RB recorded book app. It will only download one chapter of a book at a time and I have to be parked beside the library to do that. Last night it quit at the end of a chapter but when I drove down to the library to download another, it didn’t work even though I had the WiFi function on my phone switched on.

Did you try uninstalling the app and re-installing? That usually fixes picky issues on the RB digital app we’ve found.
