Limited Opening
As of Monday, May 11th, Salmon Public Library will be opening with Limited Occupancy and Limited Services, Monday-Friday 10am-4pm.
What does that mean for you?
Patrons will queue at the front of the library and called in if they are in need of the below services.
Walk-in Lines will service two different areas:
Computer usage: We’ll have two computer stations set up which will allow patron access for 30minutes. Should you want to use a computer longer see Reservation Computer. When your thirty minutes is up we’ll ask you to exit out the side door.
Scanning/Faxing/Copying/Book Checkout: Bring your request to the staff member at the circulation desk. Should you need a service such as faxing, scanning, or copying, the staff member will handle that request as you wait by the circulation desk until your request is completed. Upon completion, we’ll ask that you kindly leave through the side door exit. Should you need to request books, please let the staff member know the books you’re interested in receiving and we’ll shop the books for you. At this time we’ll not be allowing patrons in the stacks due to the difficult nature of sanitizing the books.
Computer Reservations: You can call the library at 208-756-2311 or email salmonlibrary1@gmail.com to make a computer reservation. This will give you a 1hr session and allow you to sit with another member of your party should you need assistance. These reservations will only be granted for the next day.
Additionally, we’ll still be doing curbside pickup in our book locker or can run books out to you during our Limited Occupancy opening. By calling or emailing the library your selections allow to you pick up the books in the locker on N. Terrace street at your convenience.
Services that currently are UNAVAILABLE:
At this time we are not allowing browsing of books, sitting and reading newspapers, magazines, or accessing the public meeting rooms. Please stay tuned for updates when these services do become available again. (in addition, the volunteer AARP tax help is still closed in accordance with their own guidelines)
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to serving you once again!
