Summer Reading
Our final Summer Reading Program concluded with a splash! Serving another 84 participants, making this one of Salmon Public Library’s most successful years of Summer Reading with 337 participants coming to our four programs.
The last week featured two activities, button-making for those wanting a little artistic expression, and making penny boats for those willing to scratch their engineering itch. Give children a bag full of random (okay carefully selected) materials and watch their creativity go!
Big thanks to all OUR partners this year, Lemhi’s After School Promise, Inc for providing tasty lunch at every program, Salmon RockHounds Allen Marquette, Idaho Fish and Game Salmon Region, Salmon Arts Council, and our wonderful volunteers/caregivers who stayed and engaged with the children. Lastly and definitely not least, let’s give Erin Barrett a round of applause for keeping this whole ship together (both behind the scenes and in front) to truly help make Summer Reading an Ocean of Possibilities.
