Celebrating Food Literacy Month “September”

September 1, 2016 By Salmon Library Staff Leave a Comment

We Are What We Eat
When it comes to food it seems there is always a latest study, solution, or pattern in which we should follow. There are governmental guidelines, traditional guidelines, and our own moral guidelines which sometimes conflict or overlap with the latter. There is an overwhelming source of advertisements, information, and education on this topic constantly being thrown at us, so what are we to do? Well, read of course! The library offers many great selections on a variety of topics when it comes to Food Literacy and starting to build your own vision of the food system. Pick up a copy today and begin to gain a broader perspective on how eating three times a day is effecting our lives.

Below we’ve highlighted some books we have in this genre and they can be found on one of our end cap displays celebrating Food Literacy month!
