Understanding Our Policies
Our library policies are designed to ensure a welcoming, safe, and resource-rich environment for all our patrons. They provide clear guidelines on the use of our facilities, services, and resources, helping to maintain a harmonious and productive atmosphere. Whether you’re visiting in person or utilizing our digital services, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with these policies to make the most of your library experience. By adhering to these guidelines, you contribute to the wellbeing and enjoyment of our diverse community of users.
Collection Development Policy
Our Collection Development Policy guides the selection, acquisition, and management of library materials. It ensures a diverse, balanced, and inclusive collection that meets the educational, informational, and recreational needs of our community. By outlining the criteria for adding and removing items, this policy helps maintain a dynamic and relevant library collection that reflects the interests and evolving needs of our patrons.
Library Code of Conduct
Our Library Code of Conduct ensures a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for everyone. It sets the standards for behavior within our premises, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning, exploring, and engaging with library resources.
Meeting Room
Our Meeting Room Policy outlines the guidelines for using our meeting spaces, designed to accommodate various groups and activities. It ensures fair access, security, and proper use of facilities, fostering a productive environment for meetings, workshops, and community gatherings.
Virtual Reality
Our Virtual Reality (VR) Policy governs the safe and responsible use of VR technology within the library. It ensures an enjoyable and secure experience for all users, detailing usage terms, safety precautions, and age restrictions to maximize the benefits of immersive technology.
Interlibrary Loan
Our Interlibrary Loan Policy enables patrons to access a broader range of materials by borrowing from other libraries. This service expands our collection’s reach, offering access to resources that are not available locally but can be essential for research, study, or enjoyment.
Computer Use
The Computer Use Policy provides guidelines for the public use of computers and the internet at our library. It ensures equitable access, responsible use, and the security of user information, enhancing the digital resources and services we offer to the community.
Telehealth Pod
Our Telehealth Pod Policy offers guidelines for using our private pod space, designed for telehealth appointments, private meetings, or quiet study. It ensures users can access these services in a secure, respectful, and efficient manner, respecting the privacy and needs of all patrons.
3D Printing
Our 3D Printing Policy facilitates access to 3D printing technology, encouraging creativity and innovation. It details the procedure for submitting print requests, outlines permissible use cases, and explains the associated costs, ensuring a fair and beneficial service to all library users.
Sound Room
Our Sound Room Policy provides a comprehensive framework to ensure a productive, secure, and respectful environment for utilizing our state-of-the-art sound recording studio. Designed for both budding and experienced audio enthusiasts, this policy outlines eligibility criteria, reservation procedures, and usage guidelines. It ensures that all patrons can access and enjoy our advanced audio recording facilities responsibly.
