Getting out of their comfort zone
Back in October of 2016 we presented a NEW challenge to our patrons, read 24 books from 24 different categories of our choosing in 12 months. We had a fantastic response with over 60 patrons signing up. Each got their very own log book and proceeded to read. They put a star on our chart marking off each category they had completed to which in the end would result in a one of kind, hand sewn, Bookfolk Challenge monogramed, library tote! All you have to do is read! We’ve started to get some early birds finishing up the challenge and can say we’ve given out 13 bags thus far. There is still the summer months to go for all the other readers out there and we look forward to presenting more awards as time moves on. For those that didn’t get to participate this year, stay tuned for an exciting new revamp of an already great challenge next year! And somewhere in between you’ll just have to find time to read all old favorite authors as well as the new ones discovered on this journey! Too many books, not enough time to read! That’s how we like it at Salmon Public Library! Your patronage is appreciated!
