Thursday, November 21st for a night of Dinosaur fun
Program 1: Family Program
From 6:30PM-7:30PM in the Children’s Section of the Salmon Public Library
*Hunt for dinosaur bones
*Create your own replicas of dinosaur teeth and claws
*Explore when and where the dinosaurs walked the Earth
*Compare your size to the mighty Triceratops
Program 2: Adult Program – “Unearthing a Triceratops” by Allen Marquette
From 7:30PM – 9:00PM in the Large Meeting Room of the Salmon Public Library
Description:
Join Allen for a program on his recent discovery of a Triceratops Dinosaur in the badlands of Montana. He spent two days hiking and exploring the badlands on a 9000 acre private ranch near Glendive, Montana, looking for dinosaurs. Several hours into the first day’s explorations Allen discovered the remains of a three horned, frilled ceratopsian dinosaur known as Triceratops. Come and discover an alien and eroded landscape from 65 million years ago that was the dinosaurs’ last stronghold before the great extinction.
