Twas the night before Xmas
Dec 1st marks the first day for the Bookfolk Challenge participants to come on down and grab their wood burned ornament off the tree.
As an added optional bonus, the friends of the library have supplied “presents” of all the authors you might find on the Christmas tree. If you want to take one home, it’s by donation.
The tree will stay up until January 6th, be sure to make sure you complete this task or you’ll be unable to complete the Bookfolk Challenge this year.
Happy Reading and to all a goodnight!
[Nov 17th] Idaho STEM Week
Balloon Racers
The library spent time with Meriah Schauss Baker’s 4th/5th grade class FernWaters Charter as a part of STEM week put on through the University of Idaho Extension and Shannon Williams. We had tons of fun learning about Newton’s Third Law of Motion and exploring the Potential and Kinetic energy creating Balloon Racer cars. It was a great way to explore the engineering design process and figure out how and why our designs worked or didn’t work. Thanks also to ISEE STEM- Idaho South and East STEM Ecosystem Ashley Schaffner and Idaho Power Aleasha Murphy for the support!
[Nov 10th] Idaho Family Read Week Wrap-Up
Thank you to All
Idaho Family Reading Week 2023 was a HUGE hit! Fun was had, and art was made! We had 67 participants, 2 amazing volunteers, and nearly 3 hours of non stop fun! Our Augmented Reality, Button Making, Mobile, and Book Art stations were a hit, however the Up-cycling station had ‘em coming back for more, and more, and more! A HUGE thank you to all donors, volunteers, attendees, and of course the Idaho Commission for Libraries – ICfL
