This is where you come in. Check out the latest challenge post we’ve set up for you near the children section of the new library. From time to time we’ll be posting different challenges to engage our patrons in a different form of learning. This one is all about binary. Walk on over. Follow the few instructions. And seek the circulation desk with your answer! Challenge posted, do you accept? (all ages welcome)
How's It All Work?
Too often we jump on our computer, upload a few images, click a few likes, send a text, watch our favorite flicks without giving a second thought to “How Does It All Work?” Well, before that next flip of the switch give pause to the wonderment behind binary, it’s all zero’s and one’s baby! On/off, voltage or no voltage, it’s simple flow that gives rise to all the wonderful first world conveniences we use each and everyday. Computer coding doesn’t have to be scary nor intimidating. Doesn’t have to be for adults nor males. It’s a world that doesn’t discriminate but on the other hand offers a willing participant the opportunity to express themselves in yet another form of expression.
So close we can feel it
One last push
As most of you know we are opened for patron usage. And it brings me great pleasure to welcome all the positive feedback we’ve been getting about the building, as it truly is a marvel, not just for this town, but for any. A library holds a special place in a community and instead of seeing them go away it’s nice to see them celebrated like here in Salmon. We as always don’t exist without you. Not only your patronage but your support financially. It has helped construct the doors you walk through and the staff you talk to, and for that we say THANK YOU!.
There are some minor updates we’d love to see to an already stunning facility. Some of the dressings that make a cake pop so to speak. We’ve compiled a small list that will change with time in hopes that once again we can reach out to our beloved community for support. Take a look at our Library Registry for additional ways you can donate to our growing child, the NEW Salmon Public Library.
Pre-School Story Hour is Back!
All Ages Are Welcome!
After the dust has settled we are again able to service the little ones in our Pre-School Story reading hour. We hope to offer even more activities then reading alone now that we have the space. It seems they already started with some music involving all our youngest participants. We hope to see you on Wednesday’s at 10am to take part! Or if you want to be a reader we can always use the extra help. Contact us at (208)756-2311 or salmonlibrary1@gmail.com to let us know.
